In April 2000, my wife and I were in a serious automobile accident. Unfortunately, my wife sustained very serious injuries which resulted in 5 months of hospitalization. Coincidentally, at this time I came across the story of Ms. Brenda Hoskins. After hearing of her accident, and more importantly, her recovery, I contacted Ms. Hoskins and asked that she visit my wife at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. Of course, she immediately agreed. Seeing and hearing her story as well as her positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm helped my wife’s long and difficult recovery seem plausible. I personally have no doubt that Brenda’s visit to the U of M Hospital that day was one of the key ingredients in my wife’s road to recovery.
